Headlight pods are a bit out.
Also used the old Tape measure.
O/S Top edge of headlamp Panel to Front edge of pod 30.5cm
N/S is 30.9cm
Bumper is now Sitting straight but there is a different replacement bumper from somewhere in time , and is longer in length so has a tighter gap from bumper to edge of Wing.
maybe acceptable back in the day , but these days we make sure everything is square with perfect gaps... each bumper can cost a small fortune to profile and Re chrome.
Will split up the front panel with 3 or 4 inch gaps on the good O/S and make some more metal profile gauges which I can use on the nearside for checking.
Iβve also made some paper templates today.
I now Almost have enough information to make a panel.π
with my previous experience and help from Peter and you Gents.
we are all progressing to make these cars better than they were.
cheers Matt.ππ¬π§

Just a quick question for Pete is did Ferrari use the metric system or found it easier with the imperial system...????
I say this because when I measure some things they round up better in Imperial.....????.
everything on early Aston Martins is 42 7/8β or 12 7/8β or 23 7/8β nothing was rounded up apart from the bonnet edge at 102 inches..... how weird..... when You spend a year and a half of your life with a car , you never forget certain measurements....π.
Was this done to allow for any discrepancies on handbuild cars πLast edited by Moving molecules .; 12-02-21, 08:20 PM.https://www.precisionpanelcraft.co.uk/

Off she goes .... lots of cutting , butt welding and measuring In finding out what happened to the near side of his car..... turned out okay.
Plus new Door skins / frame work, chassis work, rear window panels and roof hole welding up and metal finished.
As much as itβs nice to have a Ferrari....
I love it when they go..... Stress relief....π
This one is going back to its original colour which is a burgundy shade .
