Happy New Year to Neil and everybody else here (even to all the new jokers who haven't introduced themselves yet...... Humor us.)
i do want to say a special thank you to Neil and his select few for making this new forum a reality. I can't be the only one who sincerely appreciates having a venue like this one that's focused upon traditional work instead of the latest workaround gimmick. It's a great opportunity for all of us. Thanks, Neil!
ulladulla worries me too! what has happened at bateman's bay and mallacoota looks like it may happen there too.
I am 15km outside melbourne cdb, Friday the winds blew from mallacoota and we ended up with the smoke, not very nice but nowhere near as bad as they had it, even without the fire. pitch black at 9.30am scary stuff!
Surely Cant be 2 years since I posted (what 3 Years) now, Man where has that time gone.
Ulladulla was Ok in the fires whilst we watched many loose there homes, possessions and animals and still after all this time, with the So Called Plandemic, that has cost and lost many the opportunity to see family and friends, and for governments to provide a simple plan to get these families into temporary housing and accommodation, quite a few had finally managed to re-build and move into there homes , this time last year, some are still waiting to rebuild.
We had Caravan parks providing there facilities and many had tents for shelter, we pretty much donated all that we had so far as camping gear goes and our camper provided a temp home for a couple of families.
We all grouped and banded together as a great community, helping out when we could, and are still doing that now.
Thank you for your care Much appreciated.
Hoping many can move forward, but will never forget, and some will never return.
Thank goodness you survived Reedy! Thank you for the update.
Scomo and his bullshit promises, come back to haunt us again. It is an absolute disgrace that temporary accomodation was not supplied to the homeless by the govt.
