Hi Gents, i’ve got to make a new grille for this old Italian car…. But it’s got some old numbers On it which I need to replicate…. And respect history.
How would you go about this…?Are there any modern methods.
possibly the Italian chap that made the grille back in 67 was given some old punches from his master that are very old…. You cannot get this style anymore.
Typical of Italian's , they need to make things difficult LOL ........ BUT ! it's unique
Talking about Italians (off subject , ) my seller in Italy has one full handbuilt hammer set left that can be attached to the handbuilt frame so if anybody in Europe or the US has a handbuilt frame and needs a hammer set complete with , hoses ,hammer motor, fittings, hammer heads, and dies etc .Please let me know via email if you are interested .
Finding a set would be nigh impossible. I would say getting them custom made is the only chance you have. Or find a good engraver. Any good engraver could replicate those marks.
