So poor young lad was put with me to learn his first bit of Metal Shaping.....So what I,m mostly looking for is Common sense and the “want” to learn more.

So his first Job is to make a Aluminum gearbox tunnel for a (Racing ) Flat Floor E.Type Jaguar .

so first things first let’s get some paper out.😉 NO FSP here.
He’s doing alright we will show you the finished product tomorrow.

Toby survived 2 days with me 🤣, but at least he came back for the second day....

he had used quite a few methods to make this small panel and just about managing the Imperial ruler that got him thinking....
      3/16” .... 1 15/16” You get my drift.

apparently Aston Martin won’t allow their apprentices on the wheel for three years.

l believe the sooner the better so they gain their enthusiasm, he was obviously a bit rocky moving the panel in & out.... but it takes time.....😉 here is some pics.

Then me & Toby made the Complete sill panels left and right.

The Shell wasn’t too bad and the bodywork construction is not too bad quite a lot of Stitch welding with the gas torch.
